"Re-purposing Space", this Sunday, April 15: Event time changed

The DC Box Collective, Wangari Gardens and Tumbleweed Tiny Houses, bring you ‘Repurposing Space’, a showcase of three ways local organizations are working to reuse vacant or underutilized land in the District. The event will now take place only on Sunday, April 15 and not on Saturday, April14 as was earlier announced.

Langdon Park in Northeast D.C. is one of the largest public parks in the entire District serving numerous communities. On Saturday, April 13th @ 9:00am-12:000pm. Casey Trees will work alongside volunteers and members of the community to plant 39 trees on the park grounds.

We need a total of 5 volunteers to register by April 1st.

The registration process is simple—all interested participants register in the “Architecture for Humanity” section at the link below:

Resilience by Design Meeting: Time and Location

Dear all,

 

Our next Resilience by Design (Disaster Response Initiative) Meeting will be on Dec 12th @ 7pm at the Washington Alexandria Architecture Center (1001 Prince St Alexandria, VA).

Dinner will be provided so please RSVP and let us know of any food allergies/aversions.

We will be reviewing our current and upcoming projects, including our handbook, the Points of Dispensary work, and our submission to the Association of Preservation Technology Symposium. We'll be in "The Secret Room" on the upper level of the Library (upstairs and to the right).
